A comprehensive full-day technical training workshop was successfully organized for 34 participants from diverse sectors including Academia, Textile, Pharmaceutical, and Energy industries. Organized by Alternate Development Services (ADS), the workshop aimed to build both foundational and practical knowledge in corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission accounting, life cycle assessment techniques, and compliance with evolving international regulations. The training was structured to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation in the corresponding industries. Starting with the evolution of GHG accounting standards, the session covered key frameworks like the GHG Protocol, ISO standards, and the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Sector-specific focus was placed on the textile industry’s emissions footprint, with insights into Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations, boundary setting approaches, and life cycle methodologies tailored for textile manufacturing, dyeing, and supply chain activities.
