Amjad Nazeer

Chief Executive

Amjad Nazeer, the head of Alternate Development Services in Islamabad, is a distinguished figure in social and public policy research, as well as a dedicated advocate for human and environmental rights. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology, he holds degrees in Governance & Development Management from the UK, Human Rights Policy & Practice from Norway, and Social Anthropology from Pakistan. With a prolific portfolio, he has authored numerous research reports, booklets, op-eds, and news articles covering topics such as human and environmental rights, minority rights, child rights, and education. Previously affiliated with organizations like SAP-Pk, Oxfam-Novib, and Action Aid-Pakistan, his notable works include publications on education inequality, the Single National Curriculum, and international financial assistance. Leveraging his extensive expertise, he actively contributes to social research, delivers training, lectures, and participates in seminars at universities and civil society platforms.

Meet Muhammad Asad Khan, a research and data enthusiast armed with a post-graduate degree in Development Studies and an M.S. in Social Sciences. With a knack for deciphering complex data sets, he currently spearheads research initiatives at ‘Alternate Development Services (ADS)’. Equipped with a passion for research and a flair for data analysis, Asad is committed to unlocking insights that drive meaningful change.

Amjad Mehdi

Research & Communication Officer

Amjad Mehdi, a political science graduate currently pursuing his master’s at Quaid e Azam University, Islamabad, serves as ADS’s Research and Communication Officer. With a strong commitment to environmental justice and sustainability, Mehdi draws upon his background in social activism and journalism, notably as a part of countrywide student rights campaigns and co-founder of “The Students’ Herald” magazine. His role includes leading advocacy and media campaigns for ADS, utilizing his strong communication skills to convey the organization’s mission and foster collaboration with other entities, all rooted in his dedication to social progress.

Abdul Haseeb Tariq

Green and Clean Energy Officer

Abdul Haseeb Tariq holds MS in Electrical Engineering Power from the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy at NUST. Specialized in renewable energy, hydrogen technology, fuel cell systems, industrial decarbonization, and clean energy integration. He was a Research Associate at NUST and contributed to several high-impact projects and publications in esteemed journals. He works as a Clean and Green Energy officer at Alternate Development Services (ADS). He is dedicated to renewable and sustainable energy solutions, decarbonization, and climatic impacts across different industrial sectors.

Aaima Tanveer

Research Associate

With a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Quaid-e-Azam University, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to ADS. As a Research Associate, she conducts in-depth research, crafts insightful policy briefs, and fosters team collaboration. Her skill set includes data analysis, comprehensive literature reviews, and fieldwork. Specializing in research methodology, critical analysis, and effective communication, she is dedicated to driving positive change. Passionate about making a meaningful impact, she is committed to the mission of ADS and its goal of benefiting our communities.

Aamir Roger Bhatti

Liaison and Coordination Officer

Aamir roger

Aamir Roger Bhatti is a dedicated Human Rights defender based in Karachi. With a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Aamir has been a vocal advocate for social, political, and minority rights, as well as the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) and the right to information (RTI).

In his role as a Town Councilor at TMC New Karachi, Aamir works tirelessly to represent and support his community. He is also the President of the Peace Welfare & Development Association (PWDA), a disabled organization committed to promoting the welfare and development of individuals with disabilities. Currently, he serves as the Liaison and Communication Officer at Alternate Development Services (ADS). In this role, he connects the organization with media, relevant people, industries, and government bodies, leveraging networks.

Aamir’s commitment to human rights extends to his involvement as a National Delegation Minority Rights Member in Karachi, where he continues to champion the rights and dignity of minority communities.
